Daily Word February 9, 2011 - "Psalm 11:7"

Psalm 11:7
"For the LORD is righteous; he loves righteous deeds; the upright shall behold His face."
Ever wondered what God's will is?  Ever thought to yourself, "I wonder which way I should go?" or "I wonder what God's will is in this situation?"  I marvel sometimes at how little ability some Christians have to discern the will of God.  It is true, that sometimes, our decisions are difficult because they are between the good and the best.  But on a day to day basis, it seems more and more that Christians struggle deciding what is the "right" thing to do.  Here the psalmist tells us in simple terms that the LORD is righteous and therefore, he loves righteous deeds.  God's will today is that you do righteous actions.  The perfect model and standard of righteousness is Christ Himself.  Therefore, between two opposing forces, one looks for the most Christ-like position.  So the simple saying, "What would Jesus do?", seems most beneficial.
