Dailly Word March 15, 2011 - "Who Is The King of Glory?"

Psalm 24:10
"Who is this King of glory?  The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory!" Selah
Ever sat back in wonder?  Just quieted your soul and began to be amazed by that which was in front of you?  And as you did, you began to analyze that which you were looking at.  Pouring over ever fabric and framework of its structure and existence.  This, I think, is where the psalmist finds himself.  He begins with the wonder of the world that the Lord created (vs. 1 & 2), then moves to the righteous expectations of the Lord (vs. 3 & 4), and finally to the question he asks twice - "Who is this King of glory?"  'I was never told about him!' 'Where has he come from?' 'How is he so great and strong?!'  Then the psalmist concludes - "The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory!"  Jesus Christ the Righteous, He is the king of glory to be crowned with wonder and splendor.  A the end of the psalm the word "selah" appears.  We believe that it means 'to give pause and meditate upon'.  Today, give pause and meditate upon who Christ is.
